Framing Statement: I learned a lot over the semester about grammar and how to properly cite. I think my greatest improvement came in the organization of essays. Looking back at my first paper about Gee and Cuddy, I had a lot of grammatical errors. I did not know how to cite properly in an essay or easily integrate a quote into my paper. The biggest thing I got from this class is how to integrate an “I say” feel to my essays. I struggled with that in the beginning but after 3 papers, I learned that adding a personal feels makes your essay more engaging. I have been taking English classes throughout my entire high school life, so I did not have major errors. With this class, I learned how to polish my writing and make it as articulated as it can be.
