The Significant Writing Project is all about improvement. Over the course of the semester, I have learned and grown in the English Discourse. The Significant Writing Project is our last project of the year and it is all about highlighting where we improved by choosing the paper we best felt exemplified our improvement.

Framing Statement: I chose my third paper for my Significant Writing Project because I felt this was some of my best work this semester. For paper three, I discussed the relationship between the sponsor and sponsee. I talked about the various narratives, child prodigy literacy success, and victim. My claim was that the future of child prodigies are determined by their literacy sponsor. A positive sponsor and experience can make a child prodigy become a literacy success in the future. On the other hand, a negative literacy experience or sponsor can turn a child prodigy into a victim, I was very passionate about this essay because I have experience in this. Growing up, I have seen child prodigies crack under pressure from an overbearing or neglective sponsor. These child prodigies go on to lose their passion for learning and become a victim narrative. Because I have experience, I am able to integrate an “I say” feel to this essay, furthermore, I think my experience with the topic gives my essay more of a personal feel. I made solid revisions from the rough to the final draft which is why I chose this paper for my Significant Writing Project
